A Special Thankful Thursday!

We've missed so much in the blogosphere! We have posted comments to a few of you, but that doesn't mean we didn't  think of all of you and wish you well. And pray for you all, four footed and two footed.
Today we found out that our dear friend Nerissa is in heaven. Not fair at all. We will miss him a lot! I hope he gets to run and play and nip out with others that are there. MOUSES! Hope my sister brandi had a nice greeting for him (she always liked him almost as much as Hendrix).
Mommy has been dealing with some serious health problems and mounting medical bills, plus of course, dealing with missing her brother. This may sound silly, but could you all watch NCIS just one time (even if you're not a fan) in his honor? He loved that show. Actually, so does Mommy. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It won't cost you anything but an hour of your time!
We don't want to burden you with our problems and that's why we have been absent here. Anyone want to start an auction for us? MOUSES! as Nissy would say. It would be so kind!
Now, since it is Thursday, and Thankful Thursday at that, I am going to turn this over to Mommy cause I am too humble to tell you this:

A TRUE STORY
We had an odor problem in our apartment for a couple days this week. I took out all the garbage, made sure the litter box wasn't offending (it wasn't. It's like two feet from the head of my bed! I would definitely know!). Sniffed all over for this mildly irritating smell. Then, two nights ago my sweet Quinnie poked and prodded me around 4 in the morning.  The odor was horrible. I finally figured out I should check the stove. Yes, it was the gas leaking, getting stronger and stronger. I must have bumped one of the dials God knows when (still getting used to my walker) and never noticed and it didn't light, just spewed gas. I opened a couple of windows and burrowed down with a blanket for the rest of the night. It was cold out that night! I don't know what would have happened to us both if Quinn hadn't poked and prodded and pawed me over and over till I woke up. I believe that Quinnie is my own personal hero! Yes, she is a little diva, and loves to be petted and scritchied at the most inappropriate times and refuses to eat from my hands, but she got a lot of extra extra pets and scritchies and kisses all that day. I am so thankful for my little hero, Quinnie! Okay, Quinnie Makayla, back to you.

Back to me, Quinn!
I don't think I am so special. I just took care of us, as usual. MOUSES! A little beyond nursie, that's for sure! But what any good kitty would do!
love ya all,
Quinn and Mommy Carol
and lots of MOUSES in Nissy's MOUSES honor. MOUSES!
